Full body
massages (abhyanga) followed by warm bath in tub or shower
or steam bath or fomentation - for stress-relief, weakness,
debility, tightening, firming and softening of the skin, general
well-being.
Lukewarm oil massages and oil packs to treat weak limbs, stiff
joints, rheumatic pains, paralysis, spondilitis, asthmatic
conditions. (oil packs: soak a clean cloth in warm oil and put it on
as a pack, or, put / tie a clean cloth on the affected area and wet
it with drops of warm oil; continue pouring drops of warm oil for as
long as required)
Massage of scalp and Shirovasti for strengthening the neural
system and improving the brain function.
Massage of the abdominal and back areas for release of vayu
and
to improve the digestive and urinary functions.
Massage of the lower abdomen, sexual organs for vitality and energy.
Body packs with Mysteribath Herbomineral Ayurvedic Mud-bathing
powder to cleanse the skin pores of toxins followed by Tarika Body
Toner oil massages. This ensures better blood-circulation,
suppleness and elasticity of joints and muscles, revitalizing and
re-energising of body system and for treating skin problems.
Mix 1 part Tarika Body Toner oil to 2 parts Mysteribath
Herbomineral Mud-Bathing powder. Add warm water to make into a thick
paste. Apply the paste on the body or to parts of the body as a
pack. This firms up the skin, helps to relieve pains, aches. Makes
the skin soft and smooth. When applied on the abdomen, this helps to
release vayu.
Massages with Tarika Body Toner and Moisturiser oil act as a tonic
for the body and help remove blocks in the circulatory system. This

Massages should not be done either in a very hot or very cold
climate or in a cloistered area. After massage-treatments keep the
body covered to protect from cold air.
Before starting massage-treatments ensure that the body is in a
normal healthy condition. It may be necessary during or after
massage-treatments to clean the bowels through virechana
Do not suppress natural urges such as sleep, sneezing, belching,
passing of urine, wind and stool as these ensure the release of vata
from the system and help in bringing the body to a sama-bhava or
balanced state.v
Proper and quiet rest without excitement, sexual abstinence
during massage treatments are required for getting the full
benefits.
Cold food or drinks, sour, stale and heavy foods need to be
avoided. Easily digestible healthy foods are recommended – they
should be taken warm.
Avoid hectic sports and other
activities during special
treatments with the oil.
